I’m sure that if you have spent time trying to learn SEO online by reading SEO forums or blogs that you have seen every “Joe SEO” giving you their free ideas about how to improve rankings. Joe SEO and his friends will make all types of suggestions like:
• Write quality content.
• Buy web sites and 301 redirect them to your domain.
• Perform automated submissions to 1000s of free directories.
• Get links from high PR sites.
• Make your keyword density 7.5%
• Include a privacy policy on your site ROFL. (Sorry had to laugh at that last one.)
And the list goes on!
If I had to pick one single thing that will improve your rankings the most it would be quality backlinks. Now you are supposed to ask, “WTH are quality backlinks?”
